Among all the stunning wedding posts on AYA’s Instagram, one that particularly stood out was her choice to have the main table as high chairs instead of a table or a sofa.

Main Table as High Chairs!

The main table for the bride and groom is typically a standard table, and in recent years, some styles have opted for sofas instead.

It was thought to be a choice between a table or a sofa, but AYA chose high chairs.

This choice flips traditional norms…!

AYA planned to have a talk show with guests during the reception, and so she chose high chairs for that atmosphere.

She created a special stage-like feeling with curtains in the background ♡

Upon closer inspection, the centerpiece is actually a stand microphone! This microphone was simply decorative and not intended for actual use, but it's such a stylish idea ♡

It’s also rare that the background curtains are not just one, but two layers.

In fact, these curtains are the image colors of the idol group "Philosophy no Dance," which AYA and her husband both love and where they met!

AYA's husband supports Okutsu Mariri, who has a blue image color, while AYA supports Hinata Haru, who has a red image color ♡

It's a reflection of being a fan to use their favorite image colors as the background for the main table…!!!

They invited many fellow fans of "Philosophy no Dance," and while friends knew about the couple's favorite members, those unaware simply thought the main table's coordination was stylish. It’s amazing that there was no feeling of exclusion for those inside their friend circle ♡

What are the Disadvantages of High Chairs?

AYA expressed great satisfaction with the special arrangement of the main table as high chairs, but she mentioned one downside she experienced while sitting.

That is, getting in and out of the chair was challenging!

A make-up artist supported her while getting in and out of the high chair, but she found it difficult to manage by herself.

Certainly, there are no supports like counters, and wedding dresses have more volume and weight than regular clothes, so moving around freely would be quite tricky.

Although the bride may have difficulty moving freely, it’s a benefit that guests can come to the couple easily, allowing for many beautiful photos against a lovely background!

What Other Benefits Could There Be?

I thought of additional benefits of having high chairs for the main table.

Since AYA’s high chairs were tall enough that her feet couldn’t reach the ground, she likely sat deeply to maintain balance, but perhaps if they used a height typical of models for talk shows (where she could barely reach her feet if sitting shallowly), it could create a flattering effect…!?

Although the feet aren’t visible in the picture, this is the kind of impression it gives ♡

With main tables, the wedding dress skirt is completely hidden, and sofas can make the dress feel lost, but high chairs allow the silhouette to be similar to a standing pose, showcasing the design of the skirt.

High chairs often lack or have low backs, which encourages good posture, making it a notable benefit. (Even if you try to keep your back straight, it’s easy to lean back when supported by a backrest…!)

Choosing High Chairs Seems Great!

The option of having high chairs for the main table.

✅ The background and floral arrangements are more visible

✅ Allows the skirt of the dress to be seen
