What kind of performance is it?

The Coffee Beans Ceremony is a guest-participation event to create a marriage certificate, similar to a sand ceremony.

The sand ceremony symbolizes that once the sand is mixed, it cannot be separated... which means, [the two will now live as one family].

Instead of sand, the Coffee Beans Ceremony uses coffee beans that the couple loves to perform the ceremony☕

(It seems like it would indeed be difficult to separate coffee beans once mixed)

First, prepare a box for the coffee beans and several types of coffee beans (about 3-4 types).

Just like with a guest-participation marriage certificate, it's customary to assign meanings to each type of coffee bean.

SHINA-san (@sskb_47) prepared options with the theme of "What do you think is necessary for married life," which included "thoughtfulness," "gratitude," "money," and "delicious meals"♡

I asked about the cactus glass, thinking it was rare and cute, and found out it was a vintage piece owned by their mother.

It's a non-commercial item from the Mexican food maker "Old El Paso"🌵

miya-san (@miya_wd_2022) prepared "affection (dark roast)," "thoughtfulness (medium roast)," and "gratitude (green bean)." Changing the roast state and type of beans makes for a beautiful color blend when placed in the box♡

Once guests have added coffee beans, the bride and groom complete it by adding their coffee beans together during the ceremony or the reception♡

The spoon used to add the coffee is also an important detail♡

What about adding color contrast?

When doing a sand ceremony, you tend to be particular about the colors of the sand (for example, blue, white, yellow, etc.).

It symbolizes the union of both families in a gradient.

If you are concerned that a coffee bean ceremony creates primarily brown gradients that look similar when placed in one box, there was also the idea of adding [sugar cubes]!

Since sugar cubes are white and used when drinking coffee, they would indeed provide a nice contrast with the brown coffee beans.

fuu-san (@__afwedding) thought they wouldn’t want the sugar cubes to dissolve while keeping them as a memento, so they prepared crystal gravel instead♡

Gravel won’t dissolve and adds color contrast; it’s a great idea♡

By the way, fuu-san prepared coffee as a petit gift and had an original illustration made of the two drinking coffee together♡

It gives a unified and wonderful feel*

It's wonderful to be able to drink coffee made with guests♡

What you create in the Coffee Beans Ceremony can be,

☕ served to guests at the reception,

☕ enjoyed at home after the wedding,

☕ or, of course, kept as a memento.

(Coffee beans can also act as a deodorizer!)

An original blend created with your loved ones is ready♡

For coffee lovers, here's a reference☕

The [Coffee Beans Ceremony] using coffee beans instead of sand for the sand ceremony. Those who love coffee might be inspired by this idea!

One key point is that the finished product can be enjoyed with guests or at home after returning (of course, it can also be kept as a memento♡).
