Where to take wedding photos?
There are various popular locations for wedding photo shoots, such as Marunouchi and Minato Mirai ♡
While there are many places, some locations have gained popularity in the past year or two, so let us introduce them*
"Jogashima," located at the southern tip of the Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture ♡

What kind of island is Jogashima?
Jogashima is about 2 hours from Tokyo.
From Tokyo Station, transfer at Shinagawa Station to the Keikyu Main Line and take the express for about 1.5 hours. Get off at Keikyu Misakiguchi Station and take a bus for about 15 minutes to arrive at Jogashima. (If driving, it takes around 2 hours.)
Jogashima is a small island with a circumference of about 4 km, an area of 0.99 km², and a population of about 450. It takes about 2 hours to walk around the island.
For reference, the circumference of Tokyo Disneyland is about 6 km. This island is smaller than Disneyland*
The main tourist attractions are Jogashima Park, which covers most of the eastern part of the island, and the Jogashima Lighthouse on the west side. Many people come to the island for hiking and fishing*
There are many spots to take photos♡
Specifically, let’s introduce what kind of photos can be taken at Jogashima.
The most popular spot for pre-wedding photos at Jogashima is "Uma no Se Doa." It is located at the very southern tip of the island.
There are two ways to get to Uma no Se Doa.
① Descend from Jogashima Park (East side): about 15 minutes
② Descend from the first observatory (West side): about 30 minutes
Since it is farther from the first observatory, it is recommended to descend from Jogashima Park.
It's common to take photos around the rocky area of the cave♡

The sunset is also beautiful♡
Taking photos with night fireworks would be fun too♡ This is a shot you can't take in urban locations like Marunouchi*

In autumn, silver grass grows on the rocks.
The path leading to Uma no Se Doa looks like this. You can get wonderful photos here with lots of greenery.
Inside Jogashima Park, there are pine forests where you can take photos that feel like Hawaii ♡
The trees are tilted, which is said to be due to the strong winds at Jogashima. The slanted pine forest is considered rare*
It takes about 2 hours from Tokyo, and you can take various photos at Jogashima.
When we asked for photos taken at Jogashima on marry's Instagram, many brides sent us their actual photos, so we will introduce them along with information about the photographers and dress brands*

I want to go to Jogashima♡
Jogashima allows you to take photos similar to those from Jeju Island in Korea.
It takes about 2 hours from Tokyo, and you can take various photo variations♡
(Some brides have done a location photo tour in a day from Marunouchi to Yokohama to Jogashima!)
When we spoke with Ms. Mimi, who shot twice during GW and summer, she said, "In summer, compared to GW, the greenery is denser, and you can take photos that feel more extraordinary and like those from abroad! However, it was too hot and had many insects, so I recommend the GW period instead!"♡
In summer, there are a lot of insects and it's hot, while in winter it's extremely cold along the coast, so shooting seems best around April to June and late September to November. (In autumn, the silver grass is also blooming, which would enhance the stylishness of the photos.)
The amount of greenery varies by season, but since it’s not a spot with blooming cherry blossoms or lots of flower fields, you can take equally stylish photos all year round*
