Do You Know AnotherADdress?
Have you heard about the subscription-based clothing rental service "AnotherADdress"?
AnotherADdress is a subscription-based clothing rental service operated by the department store Daimaru Matsuzakaya.
➡ Check out AnotherADdress's website here ♡
You can rent clothing from brands available at the department store (for example, Marni, Maison Margiela, Kate Spade, and Selfridges. You can even rent a Nina Ricci coat priced at 400,000 yen…!)
At a department store, you tend to focus on your favorite brands and often overlook unknown brands, but with AnotherADdress, you can rent a variety of clothes across many brands.
It's fun to come across new brands like "I didn't know this brand, but all their clothes are cute!"
I have been using AnotherADdress for about two years, and it is really very convenient.
All the clothes are cute, the prices aren’t too high, and I’m satisfied with the service ♡
In this article, I'm going to share the highlights of AnotherADdress from my two-year experience, as well as the items I rented that made me think, "They were cute! I want to rent them again!"
There are Three Plans *
First, let me introduce how the AnotherADdress system works.
There are three plans available ♡
✅ Light Plan: Rent 1 item per month - 5,940 yen
✅ Standard Plan: Rent 3 items per month - 12,430 yen
✅ Premium Plan: Rent 5 items per month - 22,000 yen
Although it's a subscription service, it's not just about being able to rent ◯ items each month; rather, it provides you with usable credits each month.

The tickets have a validity period of 12 months, so you can choose when to use them according to your life rhythms, such as "I don't want anything to rent right now" or "I have a trip and two weddings this month, so I’ll use the tickets from last month to rent five items at once."
You can also easily pause your subscription, so if you find that you haven’t been able to rent clothes lately and have a lot of tickets… you can temporarily pause the subscription and only use the tickets you have.
(It’s designed kindly so that the tickets you hold don’t expire even if you pause your subscription.)

Great Cost-Performance for Clothes!
I think AnotherADdress offers a wide variety of cute clothes and great cost-performance!
For example, let's consider the clothing expenses for a year.
I often wear dresses. As a regular office worker, I feel that a dress costing over 20,000 yen is "too expensive to buy!" but brands that are not considered casual for women in their 30s usually cost at least that much.
If I usually want to buy about two new dresses per season, I would end up needing to buy 8 dresses for 160,000 yen (2 dresses x 20,000 yen x 4 seasons).
I might be able to wear them next year, but trends change, so it’s uncertain.
With the Standard Plan of AnotherADdress, I can borrow three items every month for 12,430 yen, making it about 4,000 yen per item.
Over the course of one year, that comes to about 150,000 yen.
For this amount, I can rent 36 items (three items per month) instead of just buying eight dresses!
It’s amazing that for the same amount as buying eight 20,000 yen dresses, I can rent 36 items (and they are all from department store brands priced above 20,000 yen)!
If I were to buy, I could sell them on flea market apps or wear them multiple times, but the variety of clothes I actually get to wear would be limited.
In contrast, with AnotherADdress, I can enjoy various clothes every month.
I am a minimalist who prefers not to accumulate too many things, so not having items stack up is also a positive aspect.
I can rent only the clothes suitable for the season, so they don’t take up closet space, I don’t have to pay for dry cleaning, and I don’t have to switch out my wardrobe, which is really convenient!

Returns Are Allowed!
Additionally, it’s great that AnotherADdress allows returns for one item per order!
✅ It didn’t suit me when I tried it on
✅ It seemed bulkier than expected and not suitable for everyday wear
✅ It was too long
✅ It didn’t fit because it was too skinny
✅ It felt like winter material despite it being summer
✅ The color was different from what I expected
✅ The sleeves were short
There are so many things that you won't know until you actually wear it.
Since AnotherADdress allows for returns (you can return within a week, and one ticket will be credited back), you can decide whether to keep the item after trying it on, which is reassuring.
"I'm torn between two dresses to wear to a wedding, so I’ll rent both for now and wear the one I like!"
"I want to rent two items this time, but for now, let me rent three and then I’ll pick the two I like!"
You can request them casually ♡

🔸 ERDEM Printed Short Sleeve Tiered Dress [Retail Price: 167,000 yen (excluding tax)]
This floral dress from the British brand ERDEM, which is also available on Farfetch and YOOX, is just beautiful ♡
It has a floral design with a nice flowy fabric. This is a strikingly cute dress ♡
For someone like me at 165cm, it was just the right length (about the length where I could wear pumps without heels), but I think those around 150cm would drag it, so heels are a must!
