I want to use these as special chopstick holders when everyone gathers for New Year's or festivals. ♩

[DIY Remake] How to Make Chopstick Holders from Gift Envelopes *

All you need to prepare are a gift envelope, a ruler, a cutter, and tape for this easy DIY chopstick holder that anyone can make! ♡

First, separate the gift envelope from the mizuhiki, lay it inside out, and cut above the crease at the opening of the envelope. (Cut slightly below the crease for a neat finish.)

Next, cut vertically about 4 cm from the left crease and similarly between 6 to 8 cm from the right crease.

Once done, fold in the 4 cm width on the left and match it with the right side.

Fold the bottom crease part up.

Cut the mizuhiki to match the width of the envelope, leaving a little overlapping part, and attach it with tape or double-sided tape. ♩

Flip it over, and it’s ready! ♡ You can make it even cuter by slightly altering it to match the envelope design! ♡

Arrangement ② *Envelope*

This remake envelope can be used not only for writing letters but also for giving wedding photos taken on the day to close friends, making it very delightful! ♡

By removing the mizuhiki, it can be used as a stylish everyday envelope.

From traditional Japanese patterns to designs that resemble Western greeting cards, various envelopes can be made, making you want to write letters! ♡

The previously remade envelope can be further adapted to create pochi bags that are perfect for New Year's gifts! ♡ Using gift envelopes results in a luxurious pochi bag that is sturdier than store-bought ones! *

By reusing the beautiful designs from gift envelopes, they can also serve as New Year’s money bags, making them perfect for celebrations. ♩ It’s nice to discreetly hand them over to parents or grandparents with gratitude.

One-point Remake Using "Mizuhiki" from Gift Envelopes

While the main part of the gift envelope can be used, the most suitable for remaking is the mizuhiki part. You can create wonderful arrangements using just mizuhiki alone! ♩

Arrangement ④ *Chopstick Rests*

A stylish chopstick rest made by cutting out only the mizuhiki from the gift envelope! * It’s so easy, as all you need to do is detach and arrange it, that even the most clumsy person can make it! ♩

Using a mizuhiki chopstick rest instantly enhances the celebratory atmosphere of the dining table! ♡

Arrangement ⑤ *Accessories*

Since the mizuhiki is already tied, there’s no need to create a new hook for attaching hardware, making it convenient! ♩

Hairpins made with mizuhiki are the easiest among mizuhiki accessories, as you only need to glue them onto bobby pins or U-pins! ♡

Arrangement ⑥ *Enjoy Mizuhiki Art ♩*

Gather many removed mizuhiki, decorate them in a wreath shape, and create panel art! * It will serve as a memento to remind you of all the people who came to your ceremony! ♩

Boards decorated with mizuhiki are referred to as "mizuhiki boards."

Using a base made from cut and pasted washi paper from gift envelopes on the back of the mizuhiki board creates a stylish two-in-one solution! ♡
