[Kumamoto Earthquake] What marry can do is to deliver wonderful and heartwarming information.
Hello, I am Haruno Tsuzaki from marry. After seeing a series of news about the Kumamoto earthquake that occurred on April 14, I was thinking about what I could do to help.
However, living in Tokyo and being far from Kumamoto, I realized that I had nothing and no money to offer.
While I was unsure of what to do, I learned through Instagram that brides-to-be and brides in Fukuoka and Kyushu, whom I follow, are actively helping the people of Kumamoto and the brides in Kumamoto.
What I can do through marry is to "collect cute and heartwarming information from around the world and deliver it to brides." Marry always quotes and introduces the Instagram posts of our readers. Therefore, I would like to introduce the activities of brides I found on Instagram concerning the Kumamoto earthquake this time.
There are brides who are doing "#KumamotoBrideSupport."
I believe there are many people whose items and dresses prepared for weddings have become unusable due to the disaster, those who have had their weddings postponed, and those who have to reconsider whether to hold their weddings at all.
In response to this, some brides started activities to lend DIY items for free or for a fee, with the proceeds going to donations. I think this is a truly wonderful initiative.

[Bride for Bride] You can support "#KumamotoBrideSupport" with DIY items made for weddings!
There are two remarkable points about this initiative. One is that the brides in the disaster area can have hope for their weddings. The other is that brides-to-be and former brides can use the DIY items or wedding items that are lying around at home to support the brides in Kumamoto. It is support from brides for brides.
Throughout their daily life, brides who have been sharing their wedding preparations on social media are now trying to help each other even in difficult situations.
I was deeply impressed by this situation, and I felt that I must let everyone know through marry!
*Please Note*
Below, I will introduce the Instagram accounts of brides who are conducting "#KumamotoBrideSupport" along with the Fukuoka Bride Support pics. The texts posted with the pics are also included, but please note that they were accurate as of April 19 at 14:00 when this article was written, and they may change. When contacting supporters or sending DMs, please check the details carefully on Instagram first.

These are used items I used for my wedding, and I will lend them for free exclusively to brides from Kumamoto.
*However, currently delivery services are not accepting deliveries to Kumamoto, so I think it will be difficult, but for those who can come by car to pick them up and return them around Hakata station in Fukuoka, please note that since I plan to use them for my sister's wedding in June, I will only be able to lend them to those who have weddings other than in June (>_<). I will ship them once delivery services restart.
The home of a bride I follow is also affected, and the DIY items have been damaged, and they are reportedly staying in their car due to evacuation without food, drink, or even medicine for their chronic illness and cannot proceed with wedding preparation work.
There are also brides who have had to postpone their weddings. They say they are unable to work on preparations. If there is something else you are interested in, feel free to consult me.

I’ll participate in Moe-chan’s wonderful idea ♡
I would like to lend out used items from my wedding for free exclusively to brides in Kumamoto ♡ However, currently, I can’t ship as the roads to Miyazaki are also damaged, and cannot be picked up. Once humanitarian aid and delivery of supplies stabilize and I can send items, I will start taking reservations ♡ I hope this brings a little cheer to brides in Kumamoto…♡ Though my influence is limited, I would like to help the brides in Kumamoto ♡
Additionally, here is another proposal! For those who understand, I will lend or sell these DIY items to brides nationwide! However, it won't be for free.
I plan to donate the funds raised from this to aid the Kumamoto disaster. If you are interested in borrowing items, please DM or comment.
I’ve compiled them under the tag “#yuka小物”!
Example: Photo props, macaron towers, ball bouquets, red thread, cake toppers, love objects, garlands, tin cans, pre-shoot items, plush toys, etc. There’s still more that I haven't been able to post on IG…>_<… lol
Additionally, if there is demand, I might consider making photo props for charity sales! I’m currently thinking about what I can do for Kumamoto both as a former bride and a bride from Kyushu!
I will properly inform you through IG as soon as the donations are collected (*´˘`*)♡♡

I’m joining the wonderful idea of Moe-chan.
I’ll give away craft paper versions of thank you tags for free, exclusively for "#KumamotoBride" status. I will also cover the shipping costs.
What I will provide are the papers in uncut condition as shown in the picture. Please cut them to your desired shape. There are 100 pieces (25 sheets).
Currently, I cannot deliver these to Kumamoto, so they will be shipped once delivery resumes. For those residing in Kumamoto who can receive them from other prefectures, please contact me, and I will send them promptly ♡
I would be happy if I can help even a little for the brides in Kumamoto!

Directly transporting supplies to Kumamoto via helicopter with the WITH THE KYUSHU project.
Beyond just wedding preparation discussions, the "WITH THE KYUSHU" project, led by the mayor of Fukuoka, Soichiro Takashima, is also in the spotlight for saying, "First, we need to send relief supplies for life!" This project involves gathering supplies at the former Daimyo Elementary School in Fukuoka City and using helicopters and trucks to deliver them directly to Kumamoto.
Former bride moco.0409wedding is also participating in the #WITHTHEKYUSHU project and has delivered disinfectant wet wipes and adult diapers to Daimyo Elementary School. Please check Takashima Soichiro's official blog or FB page for updates regarding what relief supplies can be accepted, as it changes frequently.

I want to inform a million marry readers about the #KumamotoBrideSupport
This concludes my introduction to the Kumamoto support initiatives.
Since April 14, marry has received several inquiries saying, "How can you even share wedding info at a time like this? It’s inconsiderate!" My father lives in Kyushu. Therefore, of course, I am concerned about the Kumamoto earthquake; however, I also have to continue my daily work and life as I manage a wedding preparation site.
Amidst these daily realities, I struggled and contemplated, thinking, "Is there really nothing I can do from Tokyo while running a wedding information site?" But seeing messages from many brides on Instagram saying, "Kumamoto brides, are you okay? We are supporting you!" and "I will help the brides from Kumamoto!" and "I’m so glad to read everyone's supportive comments!" made me realize what marry can do.
marry’s social role is "to deliver bride information."
marry has a readership of one million across the country. Since many brides enjoy the "bride information", we decided to include information about the brides in Kumamoto in marry.
I hope that seeing this article will result in more brides joining the "#KumamotoBrideSupport" initiative. Maybe you can use wedding items you have at home to support the relief efforts.
Knowing is truly important. Because knowing allows us to think.
Additionally, I believe that while "supporting" is of course important, there is no need to blame those who cannot support.
When looking at Instagram, I find posts saying, "I hate myself for being unable to do anything, and it's bringing me down." But even "knowing" is important.
Please share marry's article with friends, family, and various people around you. I think sharing it on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram is also a great idea. If more people learn about the situation of "brides in Kumamoto", someone might think of something they can do!
marry will continue to support brides across the country. I hope all those who are going through difficult times in Kumamoto and surrounding disaster areas, as well as all brides nationwide, can hold wonderful weddings.
