Wedding Report Volume 5!
Hello, this is Nagisa from marry. I am a卒花 (bride who has already had her wedding) who got married in June 2016, and I've been writing wedding reports on marry for a while now*
Here are the previous articles*
⇒ First Edition:卒花 (bride), Starting Wedding Reports ♡ First, what are my thoughts and points of focus on the wedding??

⇒ Third Edition:卒花 (bride) Wedding Report* Custom Design and How to Create an Original Wedding Dress with Special Order ♡
⇒ Fourth Edition:\ A卒花 (bride) speaks, in my case*/ In a wedding that can be costly, these were the two points I focused on!
Weddings use a lot of flowers, right?* There are flowers for the main table, guest tables, bouquets, hair accessories, and more... I struggled to find complete coordination even though I could find individual pieces on Instagram. This time, I would like to share the floral coordination and points throughout the whole wedding*
【Total Floral Coordination ① Bouquets】
The bouquet was the first point I considered among the flowers! Since I would be holding it throughout the ceremony, I had a lot of concerns about the color and shape....
At the same time, I also struggled with whether to change the bouquet for the color change during the ceremony. However, I decided to "save money on what relates to us and not cut costs for our guests," so I went with just one bouquet*
Decision Made on the Bouquet! What About the Design?
From the very beginning of deciding on the bouquet, I was thinking that I wanted a clutch bouquet♡ A classic round bouquet is cute, but since my wedding theme was [Resort Wedding], I wanted a design and shape that wasn’t too stiff!
Keeping the resort wedding theme in mind, I chose colorful blooms* I ordered, "I want something like this... with my favorite pink as the base, some orange, purple, and a little bit of berries," while showing flower pictures, and what came to fruition was this♡
My ideal bouquet was successfully created! I had three meetings with the florist and communicated a lot via email to shape my vision, so I was really happy with the result*
【Total Floral Coordination ② Guest Tables】
Considering how the photos would turn out, I matched the colors of the bouquet and the table arrangements. Since the bouquet was colorful, I made sure the venue was colorful as well, which was a key point* The venue had a tropical vibe, so the vibrant flowers really stood out♡
I had three arrangements for the flowers on the guest tables. One was a glass dome like a goldfish bowl, the second was a long glass with a small bouquet, and the third was a small decorative container holding jelly with a few flowers added* The varying heights added a nice accent, and I believe it turned out great! ♡ The bouquet was arranged so that guests could take it home afterward*
How Did You Decide on the Tablecloth & Table Runner and Napkin Colors?
The basic plan for tablecloths at the venue was white, and changing the color came with an additional fee. I felt that just colorful flowers on a white tablecloth would look a bit lacking, so I decided to add a table runner over the white cloth. Adding a table runner brings a sharper look to a white tablecloth, so I recommend it! ♡ It was also more cost-effective than changing the color of the tablecloth and putting down a runner, so it's an easy option♩
I also struggled with the runner color, but my partner suggested navy, so we decided on that right away♩ Since the venue had a tropical feel, the white shells scattered against the navy looked great◎
I chose light blue for the napkin color. This was also his idea! Since our wedding was in early summer, I had the napkins folded in a summer-like sailboat style. We placed lemon name cards that matched the seating chart to complete the guest table*
【Total Floral Coordination ③ Main Table】
Similar to the guest tables, I had colorful flower arrangements for the main table as well* I think a voluminous display for the main table is ideal◎
Since guests spend a lot of time seated during the reception and take many photos, having a fuller display makes for beautiful pictures* If you want to achieve volume but have a limited budget, there is a trick: you can have a smaller main table! ♩ It seems that some venues can accommodate this, so it might be worth discussing with them◎ (By the way, my venue naturally had a small size, so I was lucky♩)
I think making the main table flowers colorful was a good choice because it resulted in great photos♩ The photographer I hired captured lovely shots of me with the flowers, showcasing beautiful perspectives through them◎
【Total Floral Coordination ④ Hair Accessories】
I considered the hair accessories in a similar style to the bouquet and table arrangements* I wasn’t inclined to use flowers that felt completely different from those on the main table, so I chose flowers from those used in my bouquet and the main table and guest tables♩
Here is the hairstyle for the ceremony* I had a small leaf added as an accent to the bonnie accessory♡
And this is my hairstyle for the color change* I had a fluffy half-up hairstyle with colorful flowers scattered throughout♩ It has a crown-like feel, but I love that it’s not too cute◎ Don’t you think it perfectly matches the table arrangements in front?
By the way, for the color change and after-party, I had ribbons wrapped around my bouquet♩ Since I used the same bouquet, I wanted a little change, so I wrapped it with a green ribbon the same color as the groom's color change vest and a pink ribbon too*
This is my hairstyle for the after-party* I had both accessories and flowers added, making sure I looked cute from every angle◎
Unifying Flowers Used at the Wedding◎
I think many brides-to-be find it challenging since floral and table coordination calls for a lot of sense. However, rather than thinking of each item separately, if you unify the main table, guest tables, and hair accessories while considering the overall balance and theme, everything will fall into place smoothly after that*
It would be great to have a wedding that feels cohesive to the items used, making the guests feel wonderful ♡
