Let's Welcome Guests with a "Life-Size Panel" ♡

The Popular Wedding Item, "Life-Size Panel" ♡

A "Life-Size Panel" is a shooting accessory that features a life-sized panel of the couple's pre-wedding photos.

It's similar to the celebrity panels often seen in electronics stores and mobile shops ♩

The "Life-Size Panel" is Full of Charms for Weddings ♡

The "Life-Size Panel" has so many charms that make it a must-have for weddings!

For instance, it can be placed in a photo booth for guests to take lots of pictures with, enjoyed while waiting for the ceremony to start, or showcase traditional attire that won't be worn during the reception.

But…

While there’s a strong desire to display a "Life-Size Panel" at the wedding, how can such a large wedding item be created??

Can I even make it myself?? It can be a bit daunting.

But no worries ♡ This time, I will introduce a DIY guide on how to create a "Life-Size Panel" for brides who want to make it themselves!

[How to Make a Life-Size Panel ①] First, Choose a Photo ♡

First, let’s decide on a photo for the life-size panel ♡

I think a favorite one taken during the pre-wedding shoot would be great!

Choose a wedding photo where both of you are prominently in full view and looking at the camera.

[How to Make a Life-Size Panel ②] Install an App ♡

Next, you need to install a dedicated app to print the photo in several sections.

For iPhone/iPad users, the app “Dekaprint” is highly recommended as it's standard and has great print quality.

➡ Free installation of “Dekaprint” here *links to App Store.

The operation of “Dekaprint” is very easy!

A single photo can be printed in a maximum of 100 sections (10 x 10), but for the life-size panel, it’s recommended to use A3 paper with approximately 4-5 sections vertically and 3-4 sections horizontally, or A4 paper with about 5-6 sections vertically and 4-5 sections horizontally.

Feel free to adjust to your liking!

There’s also a detailed tutorial video on how to use the app. Be sure to watch it before you start printing!

[How to Make a Life-Size Panel ③] You Can Also Use Excel or Paint ♡

It’s easy to divide a photo into multiple parts using the app, but you can also print large posters using Excel or Paint already installed on your PC!

Just set the division to the desired number from the print screen. You can also print it in life size using the poster-printing function at convenience stores◎

If you're concerned about image quality, you can edit the resolution and layers using Photoshop or similar software, so feel free to consult with someone knowledgeable!

[How to Make a Life-Size Panel ④] Attach the Printed Paper to the Panel ♡

Once you've printed the photos, cut away the excess borders and start attaching them to the panel.

The panel can be made using foam boards available at home improvement stores, or if you're looking to save, thick cardboard is also fine!

Before using double-sided tape or glue, it’s said that temporarily securing it with masking tape can help achieve a neat finish.

➡ Foam boards are recommended! You can also buy them on Rakuten.

[How to Make a Life-Size Panel ⑤] Create a Support at the Back ♡

After attaching the photo to the panel, the final step is to create a support at the back so the panel can stand.

The angle of the panel should be around 15° to 30° for optimal stability, so you can create a slight diagonal support using cardboard.

This is the final touch, so let’s make it perfect!

DIY a Life-Size Panel Together with Him! ♡

It might be tough to do alone, but definitely try making it with him utilizing the app, computer, and panel! I hope it becomes a wonderful photo spot ♡
