"Timeless Choices: A Treasure Trove of Ideas for Engravings on Wedding Rings"

Wedding rings are for a lifetime. That's why there are so many decisions to make.
Choosing a wedding ring comes with endless dilemmas. You have to choose a brand, a design, and even a size... Just when you think you've finally settled on “This one, please!” there are still more decisions to be made.
One of those decisions is whether to engrave something on the ring. Most rings and brands offer engraving on the inside of the ring, but first, you have to decide if you want to do it or not, and then if you do, you have to think about what message to engrave. Did you have trouble deciding on that too...?
Personally, I really struggled with it!!
Since it's a special occasion, I want to leave something behind. But being too lovey-dovey feels embarrassing...
In my case, writing something like "Name to Name" felt a bit too lovey-dovey and embarrassing, and writing the date of our marriage or the day we had our ceremony felt embarrassing as it was like revealing our wedding day to the counter staff.
(The staff kindly said that since it’s in a place that no one else would see, we could make it as lovey-dovey as we wanted♡)
At the store where I bought my wedding ring, the engraving had to be decided within "three months after purchase." So, you don't have to make that decision on the spot at the time of purchase, but since engravings often take a few weeks to process, if you want to start wearing your ring right away, it's best to have the engraving content decided at the time of purchase.
To avoid being stumped when asked "What will it be?", here are some common examples of wedding ring engravings (phrases and templates)＊
Example of Wedding Ring Engraving ① Date of Registration
This is probably the most popular engraving example＊
However, even if you decide to engrave the registration date, you need to choose how to format it.
For a date like February 12, 2017, there are various formatting options:
①2017.2.12
②2017.02.12
③2017/2/12 sun.
④Feb,12,2017
There are many ways to represent the date... Additionally, some stores may allow symbols (♡☆△∞), so once you start thinking about incorporating those, the variations become endless!
Example of Wedding Ring Engraving ② Wedding Day
The day of the wedding is also a popular engraving choice.
Many people seem to struggle with whether to make the registration date or the wedding day their anniversary, making that choice quite important.
The registration date is often set on a special day like an anniversary or perhaps a day like Tanabata, so you probably don’t want to forget it, right?
In contrast, the wedding day tends to be thought of as something determined by, for example, "Let’s do it on a weekend," "Let’s choose a lucky day," or "Let’s choose a date when we’re free," so it’s less likely to be set on an inherently significant date.
Thus, many people feel that the wedding anniversary is more forgettable than the anniversary of the registration.
To ensure they remember, many couples choose to engrave the wedding date on the wedding ring so that it’s clear at a glance＊
Example of Wedding Ring Engraving ③ Date of Starting to Date
Engraving the date of when you started dating on the ring is very romantic and stylish, isn’t it?
Having the "day their love story began" engraved on the inside of the wedding ring, which they will wear close to them all the time, is a great way to cherish the feeling of "never forget your beginnings."

Alongside registration dates, wedding dates, and dating anniversaries, many couples also choose to engrave other special dates on the inside of the wedding ring. For example:

There are various ways to write it, like "A to B," "DEAR A," or "A & B."
