Recently popular among bride hair accessories is this "Twig Hair Accessory" ♡

Also known as "twig accessories," it's characterized by a design that resembles flowers attached to small twigs, creating a natural and cute look while offering a sparkling vibe to hairstyles＊

The "Twig Hair Accessory" looks perfect for both wedding ceremony and reception hairstyles, and it's also well-known for being easy to DIY at home ♩

I also made a twig accessory myself ♡

Originally, I enjoyed self-hair arrangements and simple DIYs, so inspired by the lovely photos of brides, I decided to try making a "Twig Hair Accessory" too!

Before I started, I thought, "DIYing a twig accessory will be difficult," but once I got started, the process turned out to be quite simple and easy ♩

Affordable! ♡ The total material cost was 2500 yen!

The twig accessory is famous for its affordability ♡ True to the rumors, I was able to gather materials very reasonably.

I purchased the following items at the Kiwa Manufacturing Company:

◆ Nippers

◆ White pearls (30 pieces) 6mm x 2 bags

◆ White pearls (30 pieces) 4mm x 2 bags

◆ Czech beads (100 pieces) 3mm (color: Capri Gold)

◆ Gold wire 10m (thickness approximately 0.35mm; if it's below 0.30mm, the wire may snap, so please be cautious about the thickness＊)

The total cost, excluding the price of the nippers, was about 2400 yen just for the wire, pearls, and beads＊ It was very cheap!

*Steps to Make a Twig Accessory*

Making a twig accessory is truly straightforward!

You just need to mass-produce the [twig clumps] shown in this photo and connect them together ♡

So first, I'll explain how to create this [twig clump].

Step 1: Take about 15 cm of wire.

Step 2: Thread one pearl onto the wire.

Step 3: Simply twist the wire below the pearl for about 1 cm.

The longer the twisted part, the larger the accessory will be; the shorter it is, the more densely clustered the twigs will appear in the smaller accessory ♩

Step 4: In the same manner, keep branching off small twigs from one wire＊

I threaded about 5 pearls or beads onto one wire and twisted it!

Additionally, it's good to leave at least 3 cm of wire at the end for connecting later, as shown below♩

How to Make the Twig Clumps More Adorable? ♡

While you mass-produce the [twig clumps], it would feel a bit lacking if they were all the same shape.

So, some creativity is required ♡

For example, by threading three beads in unison and twisting them like this...

It transforms into a clover-shaped design, instantly becoming cuter ♩

Aside from this arrangement, simply twisting together two different sizes of pearls can also change the overall impression＊

Since there is no right or wrong in DIYing [twig clumps], please feel free to twist the wire and pearls however you like ♩

Let's complete it! Connect about 30 twig clumps together!

I made around 25-30 [twig clumps].

And finally, you just connect the remaining wires of the last [twig clump] together!

By connecting one [twig clump] after another while observing the overall balance, you can create a natural thickening at the center line＊

However, connecting them all in the same direction can cause the flow of branches to reverse, so I made two larger clumps first and then connected them at the center!

Also, to attach it to hair, I made circular loops at both ends with the wire＊

And thus, the "twig accessory" of about 25 cm in length is complete ♡

It took me about 2.5 to 3 hours!

A few regrets I have＊

I think I did well for my first DIY attempt, but there are a few things I would like to change if I were to make it again!

Firstly, the width of the twig accessory was the same from tip to tip. I thought it would have looked more natural if the tips were thinner...

Secondly, the tip of the wire wasn't twisted securely, causing it to prick my finger somewhat＊ Please be careful everyone.

Thirdly, I noticed that if there are gaps between the twigs, it looks a bit lacking. I wished I had added one or two more pearls at the end.

Finally, I had my hair caught in the wire while removing it, which made the twig accessory all tangled up. However, the great thing about wire is that you can reshape it at any time♩ It was easy to restore it to its original form! ♡
