Perfecting Disappointing Photos! 3 Free Image Editing Apps to Beautifully Remove Unwanted Objects and People from Your Pictures
2020.08.06 published
I want to know about an app that removes reflections in photos*
Have you ever felt this kind of worry when posting photos on Instagram?
☑ Unknown people or passersby are clearly visible
☑ Trash or other unnecessary items are included, which is subtly shocking
☑ My finger is in the camera lens
And so on. You might have a lot of photos that you love, but are stuck in your camera roll, thinking “Why didn’t I notice this when I was taking the picture...? If only this wasn’t there, it would be a perfect photo...!”
In fact, I often hear stories from brides who just finished their weddings saying things like, “It’s such a great photo, but the staff's hand is in it...!”*
Those unnecessary things or people that accidentally got into the photo.
If possible, you want to cleanly (←important!) remove that part as if it was never there and post it on Instagram...!
Of course, I know that it’s possible to cleanly remove unwanted parts using editing apps. But it seems difficult, and many of those are paid, right?? I really don’t want to pay for an app just to upload a photo on Instagram...
For you.
In this article, I will pick up several high-quality and popular [free] object removal apps that can remove parts of the photo and check their usability and functionality*
〔Practical〕Let’s try it with this photo!
The three apps I will introduce, which can remove parts of photos, are as follows*
I actually installed them and tried to see how cleanly they can remove unwanted parts!
The photo used is a scene from the wedding reception ♡
There is a black object (the microphone of the photographer) on the left side of the bride, so let’s remove that right away!
Free app to remove reflections #1*Easy Eraser
The first object removal app I will introduce is 'Easy Eraser'.
To use it, simply open the app and trace over the area you want to remove*
It is recommended to use the zoom function to enlarge the photo, making it easier to trace.
Here is the finished product! There is still a bit of a mosaic effect, but I successfully removed the black object without any awkwardness*
This 'Easy Eraser' app is convenient because, as the name suggests, it only has the function to remove unwanted items♩
Free app to remove reflections #2*Snapseed
The next object removal app is 'Snapseed'.
To use it, select the photo, press the pencil icon, and touch "Healing"!
It’s a simple task to zoom in and trace over the area you want to remove*
Here is the finished product! Upon close inspection, there are some blurred areas, but at a glance, it turned out to be very clean*
'Snapseed' also has filter functions and can be used for overall image editing♩
Free app to remove reflections #3*Photo Touch
The last object removal app I will introduce is 'Photo Touch'.
To use it, select the photo and press "Object Removal," then simply trace over the area you want to remove*
Here is the finished product! The removed area is a bit blurred, but it’s not particularly noticeable♩
'Photo Touch' also has rich color correction and edge filter functions, so you should be able to achieve high-quality image processing!
If there are parts you want to remove, give it a try*
I introduced three free image editing apps that can remove unnecessary parts from photos*
From the actual user experience, all of them were very easy to use and could remove items nicely, but I especially recommend the 'Easy Eraser' introduced first because it looked the most natural!
It’s convenient when posting wedding reports on Instagram, so if you have parts in your photos that you want to remove, please give it a try♩
