Cotton Ball Lights are Sparkly Cute ♡
Cotton ball lights have become a popular decorative item in recent years*
As the name suggests, they are characterized by the light bulb inside the cotton ball.
When the light is off, you can feel the warmth and softness that cotton provides,
but when the light is on, it transforms into a romantic atmosphere full of sparkles ♡
Great for Wedding Decorations*
Cotton ball lights are especially popular for welcome spaces and table arrangements at weddings ♡
When several are grouped together, they create a colorful and vibrant space, making them beloved by brides*
The idea of using them as ornaments on a welcome tree is also cute♩
At first glance, DIY-ing cotton ball lights may seem difficult, but you can actually have fun making them easily at home!
Here’s how to make cotton ball lights*
◆ Materials for Cotton Ball Lights ◆
☑ Cotton thread (embroidery thread or yarn is also okay)
☑ Water balloons (it’s good to prepare a few extra just in case)
☑ LED light
☑ Adhesive
☑ Brush or paintbrush
☑ Clothespin hanger (the type of hanger that comes with clothespins for hanging laundry)
You can find all the items at Daiso or Seria, so it’s great that you can do budget-friendly DIYs*
◆ How to Make Cotton Ball Lights ◆
① Inflate the water balloon with air only, without water.
At this point, try to adjust the water balloons to be as uniform in size as possible and form a nice round shape♩
② Mix a little adhesive with water, and use a brush or paintbrush to apply the adhesive mixture onto the water balloon.
③ Wrap the thread around the balloon
If you wrap it less, the gaps will be larger; if you wrap it more, the cotton ball will have smaller gaps*
④ Apply adhesive over the thread
⑤ Let the adhesive dry
Allow it to dry thoroughly over half a day to a day*
⑥ Once the adhesive is completely dry, puncture the balloon inside with a needle or something sharp.
⑦ Insert the LED light through the gap and connect it, and the cotton ball is complete!♡
Brides who have actually DIY-ed this have said, “It was fun popping the balloons” and “It was surprisingly easy”♩
