It feels like my room is always messy.

When you're busy with work and don't have time to relax at home on weekdays or weekends, isn't it common to suddenly realize, "Oh no, my room has gotten messy without me noticing..."?

For example, clothes not properly stored in the closet, mail scattered on the table, lots of hair in the bathroom...!

Even though these are small things, there are times when we suddenly feel sad about the messiness of our room.

Here are some simple ways to make your room look clean.

There's a famous saying that a messy room reflects a messy mind, and it's said that keeping your "home," which should be a place to live every day, clean is definitely good for your mental health!

But honestly, many of you probably understand this obvious fact but think, "Cleaning is such a hassle..." or "I don't have time to clean..."

So this time, I will introduce three simple techniques that will make your room look neat and tidy.

Even if your husband is indifferent to the neatness of the room, there’s no doubt that he will remember to practice this every day!

1. Don't put things on the floor.

One of the factors that makes a room look messy is the clutter on the floor. Therefore, it’s really important not to place things on the floor!

Common items that tend to be left on the floor include bags, shopping bags, books and magazines, and clothing that’s been taken off.

Make it a habit to return things to their original places, or alternatively, buy baskets from a 100-yen shop and put things in them.*

2. Make your bed.

Hotel beds always have the sheets and comforters neatly spread out, which can really lift your spirits.

Similarly, just making your bed each morning can give the entire room a clean impression.*

If you’re short on time in the morning, it's okay just to spread the comforter and smooth out the wrinkles! Seeing a tidy bed when you get home will surely make you feel good.

3. Be conscious of cleaning while doing other tasks.

The last tip I want to share is to be conscious of “cleaning while doing something else,” a trend that has been talked about online and on TV.

"Cleaning while doing something else" refers to simple cleaning tasks that can be done while doing other chores, like wiping the stove or sink while washing dishes, or pulling out hair clogs while taking a bath.*

Continuing this habit daily will slow down the rate at which your room gets messy and reduce the stress of needing to clean everything in one go during the weekends.

Live a happy newlywed life in a clean room!*

Brides who tend to let their rooms get messy quickly are recommended to keep their rooms tidy with the three simple techniques introduced this time!

These are things anyone can do, so be sure to remind yourself and share and implement them with your husband as well.*

Let’s enjoy a happy newlywed life in a neat and tidy room!♡
